Glad to see you stop by! This is a collection of recipes I have developed, received from friends or was inspired by and altered somehow. While I try to post all food photos I just cannot help but share some of my Vintage clippings with you from my Gran's recipe drawer, my great Gran's tin and of course my Mum's treasure trove of her Gran's lovely publications all kept so prim, not to mention the cache my Mum also had and even mine too! They are all regularly used recipes, loved by my family, friends, and now you my treasured readers Enjoy!

Carrot Cake by My Mum

Temperature 350   55- 60 minutes 9X12 pan Fat Daddios

2 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 cups all purp flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
3 cups grated carrot
Heat oven to 350 Grease and flour pan Cream sugar and oil together for 5 minutes Sift all dry ingredients together and add to sugar - oil mixture. Add the eggs one at a time beating for 2 minutes after each egg. Then beat the carrots in slowly.
Bake


Top Secret Frosting
6  tbsp butter
3 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
2 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans for top
Cream together adding sugar slowly Beat on high for 6 minutes.
